It actually never even occurred to me that I (we!) could charge TWO devices at the same time, while driving in my car. This USB Car Charger is SO handy!

When I learned to use the GPS in my phone, I came come to realize quite immediately that the GPS function discharges my phone battery at an incredible pace! I can't even consider using my gps in the car without using a usb charger. And now I have the option to use either the 1.0 A charger, which is more for phones, OR ... according the Seller's response to my question, I can use the 2.1 A charger, which provides more power to my phone or other device.

My present USB charger just barely keeps up the the amount of power that my phone consumes when I use the GPS function. The 2.0 A USB slot in this charger is much more effective at keeping up with the amount of power needed to run my phone's GPS, AND charge the phone's battery at the same time. OR ... I can use or charge other devices, like an iPad, or another device from a friend, at the same time.

I have been considering for some time getting a second battery for my phone ... with this USB charger, there is no need to get another battery ... I can continue using the battery that I have, AND keep it charged to use all of the power it wants, AND use and charge other devices, all at the same time.

I like the size of this particular USB charger - it's small enough to not get in the way ... but large enough to actually grip ahold of so that I can pull it out of the cigarette lighter slot for use in another car. The total length of this charger is just under 2 1/2 inches. And the base of the charger, at the widest part, is just under 1 1/4 inches. The two USB ports are spaced adequately so that two USB devices could be plugged into the charger at the same time.

As I get more and more "independent" of having to work just from ONE office ... and more and more able to work anywhere, I find myself becoming more and more DEPENDENT on my devices ... and their limited battery power. This USB charger is providing me with a good solution!
